Here are some more selections from my time as a storyboard artist at ichi London. I have always aimed to tailor my working methods to fit in with either the established key-art style or a style which the creative team wishes to use in order to show an oblique approach to the client.

This first series or boards, which to me stand halfway between storyboards and keyframes, are amongst some of my favourites. The Crew is a road-journey game in which you assemble a team of crack drivers to accompany you on your escapades- the idea here was to show the 'Crew' as a pack of wolves. This required a dark and moody style in order to show off the silhouetted wolves running rampant through a gritty, dingy city, therefore I developed this style, entirely using digital brushes. The imagery worked surprisingly well and the plan was to make a short animated trailer in this style... plans are all very well aren't they?!
These boards for Zombi U had to be finished in record time but still look finished. I decided that a mixture of analogue drawing- brush pen and coloured pencil would allow me to instate line and tone quickly before digitally adding colour to make the boards stand out.

These additional boards for sequal trailers to our hugely successful 'Enter the Metro' cinematic for Metro: Last Light,(click here to see the boards for that project) were all made in a variety of different ways- from fully painted scenes such as the header image, posterpaint images embellished with charcoal and white pastel (in much the same style as the original boards) to digitally drawn and toned panels which had to be made in about 45 minutes to get to the client asap!
